SOULS D20

Cover art, visual development, and vignette illustrations for a new roleplaying experience, bringing the tactical grit of the Soulsborne video games into the tabletop gaming space.


I emphasized each character's weapon of choice using strategic hits of color, to reflect Souls D20's focus on gear over ancestry or occupation.

 

With this series I worked to meld my own style with a bit of Stephen Gammel's foggy ambiguity from his Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark series, as well as inevitably referencing the HUNDREDS of character and creature concepts from Hidetaka Miyazaki's Dark Souls games.
